EPIK was established in 1995 in conjunction with the Korean Ministry of Education with the mandate to improve the English speaking abilities of students and teachers in Korea, to develop cultural exchanges, and to reform English teaching methodologies in Korea.=20
Bridge Linguatec has been selected by EPIK to be an official recruiter of English language teachers. Bridge Linguatec has over 20 years of experience training TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teachers and has been recruiting English teachers for EPIK since 2008. We have received commendations from EPIK for our efficiency and professionalism in recruiting English teachers, as well as for the high caliber of applicants that we provide for the program. We are now requesting applications from exceptional recent graduates to begin teaching in South Korea in March of 2010.
About the position:
- Starting pay between 1.8 and 2.7 million won/month (~US$1500 -
US$2300) depending on qualifications and teaching location
- Entrance and exit allowance of 1.3 million won (~US$1100) each, which
is usually enough to reimburse airfare to Korea.
- Settlement allowance of 300,000 won (~US$250) to help teachers settled
in
- Free furnished housing
- 8 hours per day, 5 days per week; curriculum and teaching resources
provided. Total hours of instruction will not exceed 22 hours per week.=20
- One-week training and orientation with other EPIK teachers
- 14 days paid vacation time and all Korean national holidays
- Medical insurance -50% paid by employer
