The Script-a-thon screenplay competition is less than two months away. Now in its second year, this 30-day screenwriting marathon will award the best scripts in each of four categories: Action, Drama, Comedy, and Horror–plus one Overall prize package that will include an agent consultation. Other prizes include cash, script notes, screenwriting software, and more. Script-a-thon is a chance for emerging and established writers to get their current scripts finished and in front of top industry professionals.

The Ladysmith Village Art & Wine Festival is currently seeking local/regional Artists to participate and showcase their skills and completed works. There are several ways to participate:

Artists with commissionable services are encouraged to participate as a vendor/exhibitors in the festival. There is a nominal donation requirement of $50.00 to register a 10 x 10 space. All donations will benefit the Ladysmith Branch of the Caroline County Library.

Ladysmith Village will be hosting an Art Gallery in one of our Model Homes. Artists are asked to provide pieces suitable for family viewing for the exhibit. You do not have to attend the event to participate, but pre-registration is required. Entry into the Gallery is Free to all artists.

Picasso Blvd: Anyone can participate in this unique and eye catching exhibit. Sign up to be a Featured Artist Volunteer and create your work directly on the streets of Ladysmith Village via pastels. Each artist will receive their own dedicated square to create the work of their choice. Squares are sponsored by local businesses. The festival will provide a starter box of chalk, a Featured Artist T-shirt, and bottled water throughout the day. Pre-registration is required.
