Opportunity
Apply for an artists residency in South Carolina
Information
Elsewhere Collaborative is a living museum and experimental production environment in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. Elsewhere is set within a three-story former thrift store, boarding house, and warehouse containing one woman’s enormous 58-year collection of American surplus, thrift, and antiques. Elsewhere residencies invites experimental creators to join our collaborating community in utilizing this immense collection of objects, no longer for sale and now circulating internally, as material or inspiration for site-specific projects that become part of an endlessly transforming environment of objects and works. Residents live and work within interactive installations that provide evolving frameworks for investigating collaborations, community structures, and creative processes. Our program provides people in the creative field an incredible opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, alongside a vibrant community of experimental artists and producers, with extensive resources and interpretive possibilities available at every turn. Our internship program offers a one-of-a-kind experience with creative organization building and productions for less advanced creators.

Long Lake Camp for the Arts is currently hiring staff for their summer camp.
Information
This is an awesome opportunity for anyone who’s interested in working with kids and teaching their trade, plus you get your own studio space. The age range of kids is 10-16 years old. As a teacher you would also be a bunk counselor, which means you would share a bunk with another counselor and thirteen kids, all in one age group. Camp is ten weeks long and you get full room and board, plus a paycheck.
Grace Johnston, a current VCUarts student, comments on her experience:
“Let me tell you, it was the BEST summer of my life. Really, I sound like a walking advert, but I can’t even express how incredible and life-changing this camp is.”
