Mobile Gallery Hosts Exhibition About Transience

  • "Excursion: an exhibition of transience" is open to submissions. The intent of this multimedia group show is to examine the knowledge gained through travel and experience, no matter the distance or longevity of the journey. Real or imagined, each experience offers a chance to escape and exercise freedom. The exhibition will run April 17-19 at Blue Tower Gallery Annex, 675 Metropolitan Parkway S.W., Atlanta, Ga.

Virginian’s For The Arts seeking administrative assistant

  • Assists with all office clerical work including maintaining membership database, handling membership correspondence, producing mail merged letter campaigns, assisting with conference registration, assisting with advocacy campaigns, etc. May work on site at annual conference in January. Contemporary Art Center of Virginia Juried Contest

Contemporary Art Center of Virginia (CAC) invites artists from across the Commonwealth to submit works for the annual, juried “New Waves” exhibition. Committed to supporting artists of local, regional, national and international significance, CAC is the leading contemporary art institution in Virginia. “New Waves 2008″ is an opportunity for CAC to support the work of Virginia artists by promoting recognition from the public and nationally recognized galleries and collectors.

“New Waves 2008″ is on view April 11-June 15, 2008 in Virginia Beach. The exhibition will be seen during the Museum’s nationally recognized and award-winning Boardwalk Art Show & Festival, which draws 350,000 tourists annually.
