Information
The Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition, was founded in 1998, and has generated heat, publicity and a reputation that demands respect. Scriptapalooza, Inc., along with its various divisions was created to nurture talent and create opportunities. Storytellers come from all over the world and from all walks of life, because of the simple fact that everyone has a story. Scriptapalooza’s goal: to seek out that storyteller and honor their script with a grand prize of $10,000. Each year dozens of production companies and literary representatives sign on as participants to read our winners, resulting in many scripts being optioned, sold or outright bought.
Requirements
Deadline to submit is March 5, 2010
Entry Fee: $50
Open to any writer, 18 or older.
- Any script from any genre will be considered
- Multiple entries are accepted, provided a signed entry form and appropriate entry fee is attached to each submission.
- Multiple authorship is acceptable. If screenplay wins an award, that award will be divided among the writers, by the writers.
- Screenplays must be original work of the author.
- Scriptapalooza recommends registering your scripts with The Library of Congress.
- No substitutions of new drafts or corrected pages for script entries will be accepted under any circumstances.
- Entry must be accompanied by the following
1. completed official entry from
2. the appropriate entry fee
3. completed original feature screenplay
- Submit scripts in English.
- Submit one copt of an 80-140 page screenplay. Do not send originials. Material will not be returned under any circumstances.
- Body pages must be numbered.
- Scripts must be in industry standard format and bound with two or three brads.
- Scripts must be on plain white paper.
