Documentary Photographers and Film-makers Wanted
March 19th, 2008Opportunity
Help the Amelia Co. Sheriff’s Office document emergency crisis drills for training purposes.
Information
Amelia County will be conducting a full-scale exercise designed to establish a learning environment for emergency services personnel to exercise emergency response plans, policies and procedures as they pertain to an active shooter situation. The purpose of this exercise is to evaluate Amelia County’s emergency response agencies in response to a crisis situation, such as an active shooter located within one of the public schools.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 and will begin at 9:00 a.m. The Planning Committee would like to have several individuals both inside and outside of the school to document the event using photography and film. Additionally, once the exercise is completed, we would like to have all of the films and photographs combined in to a single DVD so that it may be used for training purposes. It is requested that approximately four (4) to eight (8) individuals be on site to film and photograph the event. This is a perfect opportunity for a Film or Cinematography student to gain real world experience.
Requirements
The deadline for registration is Friday April 4, 2008 at the close of business. In your email, please include your name and whether or not you would like to take digital photographs or videotape the event.
