Three Filmaka Film Competitions : Truth or Dare, Red Bull- Vibrations, What On Earth

  • Truth or Dare www.filmaka.com/truthordare Make a 1-3 film for Filmaka and you could win funding to direct your feature film. The competition is judged by international film professionals, including Werner Herzog, Zak Penn, and Deepak Nayar. Each month there is a new theme and 10-20 filmmakers receive $500-$3000. Three of them go on to compete for feature funding. Your film can be live-action, animated, tell a story, showcase an event, or any and all of the above. 13 winners get $3000 and 5 runners-up get $1000. Winning films may be broadcast on Red Bull TV. They're looking for 1-3 minute films to be aired on MSN's new socially relevant content channel. 15 winners are chosen every 3 months - and they receive $1500 in addition to airing on MSN.com. Two of those filmmakers will also get $10,000 in funding to participate in A Global Tapestry - a collaborative film in which each director makes a segment of their own about a shared theme.
