Artist in Downtown Norfolk Program (Norfolk, VA)
October 31st, 2007- Accepting proposals for city-wide art exhibitions
- This program seeks to define new ways to add to the vitality of the Downtown culture of Norfolk, Virginia. Artists will provide unique additions to downtown arts programming. Such possibilities may include performance art from alley connections or parks, moving contraptions choreographed to music, poetry, and light, empty store fronts turned into temporary installation art exhibits, video art projected on the sides of buildings, poetry panels or poets traveling on the buses, temporary public art installations, or multicultural dance in high-traffic public areas. All visual, literary, performing and wacky artists are eligible to apply.
- Project funds for this site-specific project are $10,000. Deadline for submissions is November 30, 2007.
