Information
Information session will be held Wednesday, January 27th from 12:30- 2pm in Hibbs 308
A month in the dynamic Scottish city of Glasgow offers students a unique opportunity–individualized instruction in either writing, sculpture, or drawing combined with a survey of the contemporary British arts. Students may also take associated courses in art history and/or contemporary Scottish literature. There is an Honors component, and a special option for students interested in the British arts but not wanting to enroll in a studio arts or creative writing class.
The program is designed to introduce students to a wide range of the literary, visual and performing arts as currently practiced in Britain, and it aims to help students refine their abilities as writers and artists as they work on projects stimulated by their experience in Scotland. The Workshop takes place at the Glasgow School of Art, the masterwork of the renowned Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928), and one of the premier art schools in Europe
Dates of trip: June 23-July 24, 2010
