New York International Children’s Film Festival
August 19th, 2010Opportunity
New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF) is issuing a call for entries for the upcoming 2011 festival – to take place from March 4-27, 2011. NYICFF is North America’s largest festival of film for children and teens and stands at the forefront of a movement to define a new, more provocative and compelling film for kids. There is a sold-out-in-advance audience of over 25,000 children, teens, parents, filmmakers and media professionals and a marketing reach of 2 million in the New York area. The NYICFF seeks creative, original, non-formulaic works that will help to define a new film for kids. We are interested in receiving submissions that are Features, Shorts, Documentary, Narrative, Animated, and Experimental films. We are not shy about showing films with mature themes, subject matter, language or sensibilities especially for our teen and pre-teen audiences. John Turturro, Susan Sarandon, Uma Thurman, Frances McDormand, James Schamus, Matthew Modine and Gus van Sant are on the NYICFF Jury. The deadline to recieve entries is November 5, 2010.
