Postcards For Lindsay
December 12th, 2007Corporate & Museum Frame is sponsoring a fund raising event and gallery exhibition, January 30-February 29, benefiting the Lindsay Aronson Ess rehabilitation fund “Love Of Lindsay (loveoflindsay.com). ” Artists, both VCU students and faculty, are asked to make a generous donation of work in support of the recovering VCU alum.
Pieces must be 4 x 6, 8.5 x 11, or 11 x 14 in dimension. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces. Each piece must be signed on the back ONLY. Work by artists both well known and unknown will hang unmarked, side by side. All 4×6 pieces will be sold for $25 each; 8.5×11 for $35 and 11 x 14 for $50. All buyers will get a wonderful work of art at a remarkable price; some will walk away having made an exceptionally valuable purchase. But every sale will be worth far more than simply the value of the art itself, as 100% of proceeds will go to help Lindsay and her family.
All work should be sent or dropped off by January 18, 2008 to Corporate & Museum Frame, 301 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23220. Please let us know in advance of your intention to participate by calling Anahita Khonsari at (804) 643-6858 or by sending an email to anahita@corporatemuseumframe.com.
Please plan to attend the Preview on Thursday, January 31 or the Opening on Friday, February 1 and be ready to buy some great art for a great cause! (Only cash or checks made to Love of Lindsay will be accepted.)
Please download the entry form and Corporate & Museum Frame’s letter of intent.

PLEASE NOTE: on the Google search for Postcards for Lindsay, this comes up as Postcards for Lindsay Eyth. The correct name is Postcards for Lindsay, and the correct name for the person who is benefiting from this event is Lindsay Aronson Ess, Mike Ess’s daughter. Is there a way to correct the way this is appearing on Google?

Also, the dates on the Postcards for Lindsay entry form are incorrect. The Special Preview is January 31 from 7 to 9 PM; the exhibition and sale officially opens to the public on Friday, Feb 1 from 7 to 10PM (FIrst Fridays).
I have also alerted Corporate & Museum Frame to these errors, so they can make corrections on their site as well.
Thanks for making these corrections to the info on your site.

1. When attempting to google “postcards for lindsay,” the first site listed is www.loveoflindsay.com the website devoted to Lindsay Aronson Ess. I see no problem there.
2. The date listed on the entry form is the deadline for dropping off work to Corporate Museum and Frame for any work wishing to be entered into the show. It is not the date of the show. Secondly, the information listed above clearly states that the preview is Thursday Jan. 31st and that the actual opening will be on first Friday, February 1st.
