Information
The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX) is
now accepting applications from students and recent graduates throughout
the US who are interested in experiencing German culture and everyday
life through a federally-funded, work/study scholarship.
The CBYX scholarship available to students and recent graduates between
the ages of 18-24 in all majors and career fields, and does not require
any prior German language knowledge! Participants spend a year studying
and interning in their career fields in Germany while immersing
themselves in German language and culture. For more information, visit

The CBYX for Young Professionals Scholarship Program includes:
Two months of intensive German language training (all levels accepted
and no prior German required!), a semester of study in the participant’s career field at a German
college or university, a five-month internship in the participant’s career field with a German
company, accommodations living with German hosts, in shared apartments, and in
student dorms, transatlantic airfare and monthly living stipends, various program seminars in the United States and Germany, local support in area of placement and in the US.
Requirements
Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents with clear career
goals and some relevant work experience. German language skills are
preferred, but not required. Participants must have a high school
diploma or equivalent, have a strong interest in Germany and
international affairs, and exhibit diplomacy, flexibility, and a strong
sense of American identity.
The application deadline is DECEMBER 1, 2008 for the program beginning
