Submit work for summer exhibition at AnnMarie Garden Sculture Park & Arts Center.
Information
Artists working in all media are encouraged to let their imaginations go wild for an upcoming summer exhibition at Annmarie Garden Sculpture Park & Arts Center. Wild Things is a national juried exhibition of works impelled by the animal - from amoeba to zebra, extinct to extant, real to imagined. The show will feature pieces revealing the anima, the vital breath or soul of animals, and works reflecting the diversity of animals - from microscopic to enormous, from active to sedentary, from simple to complex. The call is open to all media with the goal of creating a diverse and exciting exhibition. Ultimately, each piece selected for the show must vitally locate its genesis in the appearance, shape, sound, smell, energy, diet, behavior, history, prehistory, or folklore of wild things.
Wild Things will be the anchor exhibit during the high tourist season of Solomons, Maryland, May 31 - August 30, 2009. The exhibit will be installed in Annmarie Garden’s Arts Building, a spectacular exhibition hall that opened in May 2008. The Arts Building can accommodate all sizes and types of installations. A few outdoor works will also be considered for Wild Things.
