- Description & Details Location: Richmond, VA Industry: Retail/Merchandising Job Function: Web Design Description: Are you a web designer with a passion for both the design and development of websites and Rich Internet Applications? If so, Circuit City has an exciting Web Design opportunity available on our Circuit City Direct team! We are looking for a creative, collaborative person with a strong technical background to join the User Solutions Engineering and Research (USER) team. USER team members are primarily responsible for developing Circuit City's eWorkspace portal. You must exhibit creativity in both design and technical dimensions, demonstrate composure and flexibility within a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. We are looking for people who are not afraid to question the way something is and propose radical solutions of what something could be. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year experience with a strong web design, usability and information architecture background. Expertise in Flash, ActionScript, and PhotoShop required. The candidate will also have some experience managing technology based projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: ** Develop and enhance new and existing eWorkspace widgets/portlets using HTML/CSS ** Design and develop cutting-edge Flash/xml applications to increase effectiveness and efficiencies within our Contact Centers and Store Support Center. ** Design and develop interactive eLearning for our Contact Center agents and Circuit City customers. ** Design weekly banners for the eWorkspace homepage marquee
- Technical Requirements: Experience with the following design methodologies is desirable: ** Interface Design ** Web design and animation ** Information Architecture ** System Visualization ** Usability testing and analysis Experience with the following technologies is desirable: ** Flash ActionScript versions 1.0 and 2.0 ** HTML, CSS, JavaScript ** Adobe Photoshop, Flash and other Creative Suite applications ** Systems analysis & design.
