VCU Film Festival

- VCU Student Film Festival to be held in Richmond, Virginia, May 10, 2008.
The Student Film Fest Organization at Virginia Commonwealth University is hosting the first ever student film festival at the Commons Theater on Saturday, May 10, at 2pm. It will give ANY VCU STUDENT, part-time or full, the opportunity to see their short film on the big screen.
Students will have the option of entering their films in one of three categories, which are Narrative, Documentary, and Animation/Experimental. Each category will have an audience choice award, as well as a first and second place winner determined by a panel of judges made up of local filmmakers, professionals and enthusiasts.
Submissions will be accepted during the entire month of April. Any VCU student may submit up to three films. All films must have been made within 2007-2008 with a maximum duration of 20 minutes. Preferred submission format is MiniDV, but DVDs will be accepted as well. Students should include their name, title of entry, and film category written on the tape/DVD. Submission forms can be downloaded from our website at http://www.studentorg.vcu.edu/sofilmfest at Pollak 206, Commons 229, and the Fine Arts Building. Submissions can be dropped off on campus in the Pollak Building, Room 206, and in the Commons, Room 229.

It's not too late! Submissions for the VCU Student Film Fest are still being accepted thru May 6th! So make your cut, get it in, and be a part of one of VCU's greatest competitions.
Submit your Quicktime file, DVD, or mini-DV to Pollak 205, Commons 229 or the Fine Arts Building front desk.
The VCU Student Film Festival is Saturday, May 10th at 2pm at the Commons Theater, free.
