Fall Photo Intern

  • The Free Lance-Star photo department is seeking a motivated and talented young photojournalist to apply for their Fall Semester internship. The photo department is in the process of reinventing itself through new leadership and with an increased emphasis on our web product. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and has superior shooting skills across the broad spectrum of news, sports, features, stories and studio work that is required at a daily newspaper. Prior multimedia experience is a plus. This 12-week Fall Semester internship, beginning in early September, offers the opportunity for a young photographer to build his or her portfolio while working for a daily newspaper with deep roots in a historic community. The internship is open to graduating college seniors. Pay is $6.75 an hour; interns are required to have their own car. The intern will be provided with Nikon digital cameras and lenses, and a laptop computer.
