ElderFriends is seeking a photographer willing to donate their time and expertise to create a series of candid yet professional elder/volunteer portraits for a Volunteer Appreciation Event. Our event honors our volunteers for all their support and service. These portraits will be the highlight of the event and shown via power point presentation
Information
ElderFriends, a service of Family Lifeline, is a non-profit organization. We offer volunteers of all ages the opportunity to join the elderly in a friendship and an intergenerational celebration of life. Our mission: ElderFriends is committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among older adults. Through regular visits, we strive to meet the emotional needs of our elder friends, helping them remain living independently for as long as possible.
Requirements
Interested applicants please respond by March 16, 2009.
Volunteer photographer must provide own transportation to the elders’ home and donate the time and materials needed to take photographs. Volunteer photographer assumes all expenses associated with this venture. ElderFriends staff will assist you by providing a list of elders to visit who have consented to be photographed; however, coordination of times will be left to photographer’s discretion.
