Virginia Zoo (Norfolk, VA)

- The City of Norfolk, Virginia Public Art planning committee seeks artists or artist teams to create a signature piece that speaks specifically and uniquely of the zoo experience in Norfolk, Virginia. The artwork should capture the light-hearted friendly lively spirit of the zoo. The Zoological Society encourages the conservancy and preservation of nature as part of its mission. Artwork which incorporates recycled materials or takes an earth friendly approach is especially encouraged, though not a requirement for consideration.
- Project funds for this site-specific, exterior artwork are $103,500. Deadline for submissions is December 14, 2007.
