The Shakespeare Theatre Company offers a variety of administration and production internships for undergraduates, graduate students and young professionals with an interest in professional theatre. Interns are encouraged to complete an entire season’s residency with the Company, which operates year-round (July-June). Schedules are rigorous; production interns work 40-60 hours per week, administration interns work 40 hours plus special events as needed. Part-time and for-credit internships are available. Applicants must show a strong interest in furthering their professional development and a commitment to working in a regional theatre. Stipends are available; most internships include housing.
Requirements
All candidates need solid computer experience, including familiarity with MS Office, Tessitura, and web-based applications; additional requirements are listed in the descriptions of specific internships.
